We’re a proud Manchester based business and in a time when shopping locally is more important than ever, we want to showcase some of our favourite independent Mancunian shops.

  Little Blonde Bakes

Little Blonde Bakes can be found in Bury, serving up lots of sweet treats like blondies, cookie dough, dirty brownies and the most decadent cupcakes you’ll ever try. And the best thing? They post nationwide! So skip the queues (trust me, they get long), take a look at their website and order some lovely postal treats.

With Hate, Cait

No one quite personifies the Manc attitude than the wonderfully unfiltered team at With Hate, Cait. Creating gorgeous candles made of 100% soy wax and a dash of sarcasm, this Manchester based store also offers room sprays, reed diffusers and wax melts all in a variety of gorgeous smells and even more incredible names.

Earth Friendly Rocker

A fairly recent addition to Manchester’s iconic Afflecks Palace, Earth Friendly Rocker has become a staple for eco-friendly goods, offering a range of products including bamboo toothbrushes, no-plastic natural deodorant, vegan fudge, reusable wipes and period products, and even biodegradable doggy bags! It’s always good to know you’re looking after the planet and Earth Friendly Rocker also plants one tree for every purchase.

Purple Marble UK

A good skincare routine is essential and sustainable products that don’t harm animals are even more important! That’s why we love Purple Marble UK – selling a selection of handmade soaps cosmetic products, everything from this shop is 100% vegan, with no nasty chemicals and eco-friendly packaging. Our personal faves are the facial sprays and the bamboo face pads are a lovely, earth friendly addition to your daily regime!

Dirty Disco

Vintage fashion is certainly a staple of the Mancunian indie scene and one of the many brilliant vintage fashion shops in town is Dirty Disco located in Ancoats. Reworking and upcycling one of a kind vintage clothes, Dirty Disco champions helping the planet through sustainability (all the way down to using vegetable ink!) and looking damn good while doing it.

Luna MCR

Previously known as Extreme Largeness, Luna MCR is one of the longest standing shops in Afflecks Palace and has stuck around as a beacon of all things cool and quirky in the Northern Quarter. Outside of their physical store, Luna has a strong online presence, particularly a popular Etsy page and website where you’ll find a wide selection of embroidered beanies, enamel badges, patches, socks, mugs and more to suit your inner punk. And for the heavy rock n rollers, check out their Luna Eclipse section, giving all you need to feed your heavy metal heart.
